Paper I (Class 9th & 10th)
- Hindi: Bachelor’s degree in Hindi and B.Ed
- Urdu: Bachelor’s degree in Urdu and B.Ed
- Sanskrit: Bachelor’s degree in Sanskrit and B.Ed
- English: Bachelor’s degree in English and B.Ed
- Mathematics: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, physics or chemistry and B.Ed Or, BTech with Mathematics and B.Ed
- Science: Bachelor’s degree in botany, zoology or chemistry and B.Ed Or, BTech with Science and B.Ed.
- Social science: Gradation with any two of the following subjects-History, Geography, Economics or Political Science (studying History or Geography is compulsory) and B.Ed
Paper I (Class 11th & 12th)
- English: Bachelor’s degree in English and B.Ed
- Mathematics: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and B.Ed
- Physics: Bachelor’s degree in Physics and B.Ed
- Chemistry: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and B.Ed

The Bihar STET Exam mode is Offline (pen & paper mode) for both Paper 1 and 2. The Total marks for the Bihar STET Exam are 150 Marks with a total of 150 Questions. There will 5 sections for Paper 1 and paper 2 with 4 sections. The type of questions asked is of type Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs). The Marking Scheme is 1mark for a correct answer and no negative marking for the Exam.
