Meghalaya TET 2021 Eligibility

Class I- V

  • Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks for General Candidates and at least 45% for ST/ SC with 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (recognition norms and procedure), Regulation 2002.
  • OR Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks for General Candidates and at least 45% for SC/ ST with 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • OR Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks for General Candidates and at least 45% for SC/ ST with a Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • OR Graduation with 45% for SC/ST and 50% for General with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE (recognition norms and procedure), regulation 2002.
  • OR A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010.

Classes VI-VIII

  • B.A/ B. Sc with at least 45% for ST/SC and 50% for General Candidates and 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE (recognition norms and procedure), regulation 2002.
  • OR B.A/ B. Sc with at least 50% for General Candidates and at least 45% for ST/SC with 1- year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed) in accordance with NCTE (recognition norms and procedure), regulation 2002.
  • OR Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks for General Candidates and 45% for ST/SC and a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed)
  • OR Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks for General Candidates and at least 45% for ST/ SC and 4-Year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./ B.Sc. Ed
  • OR B.A/B.Sc with at least 50% marks for General Candidates and 45% for ST/SC with 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
  • OR A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010.

Age Limit

  • The candidate should not have crossed 32 years of age (relaxable up to 37 years in the case of SC/ST candidates) as on the first day of the first month of the year in which the advertisement was made.
  • In the case of candidates already in government service, he/she should have first entered service within the age limit mentioned at Clause (i) above and he/she shall have to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned office/ Department for applying & appearing for the examination.
  • In respect of candidates employed in aided schools and contractual teachers appointed the age limit is 35 years (relaxable up to 5 years in the case of ST/SC candidates) as on the first day of the year provided they are eligible for the same.

Meghalaya TET 2021 Examination Fee

Only eligible candidates whose names will be displayed on the Notice Board of the office of the DERT/ Principal DIET’s/SDSEO’s are to submit the examination fee of Rs.300/- only and (Rs 150/- only for SC/ST) for each paper.ie, Paper-I (classes I-V) and Paper-II (classes VI-VIII).

Meghalaya TET 2021 Exam Date

The officials of the Department of Education, Meghalaya will announce the Meghalaya TET 2021 Exam Date. The Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test 2021 will be conducted tentatively in December 2021. However, we will update the information of the Meghalaya TET 2021 Exam Date once the officials release it.

  • Go to the official portal of the Department of Education, Meghalaya@ megeducation.gov.in.
  • After that, all the candidates can find the Highlights section.
  • In the Advertisement section, search for the Meghalaya TET 2021 Application Form link.
  • After finding the link, click on it and download the Application.
  • Later, enter the required details.
  • Check the details once and take a hard copy of the Application for future use.

Meghalaya TET 2021 Syllabus

Meghalaya TET 2021 Exam Pattern

All the questions that are asked in the Meghalaya TET 2021 Exam will be Multiple Choice Questions. 1 mark for every correct answer and there shall be no negative marking for any incorrect answer. A total of 150 MCQs will be asked in each paper.

Meghalaya TET 2021 Admit Card

Candidates who are going to take the Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test have to download the Meghalaya TET 2021 Admit Card.
