MMMUT Eligibility 2020 – Malaviya Entrance Test (MET)

B.Tech. (First Year)



Candidate should have passed 10 + 2 examinations with at least 55%marks (50% in cases of candidate belonging to SC/ ST category) and with at least 60% average marks (55% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ ST category) in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

B.Tech. (Second Year) Lateral Entry

For admission to the second year of B.Tech.under lateral entry:

  • Diploma holders: Passed 3/4 year diploma examination from an institution recognized by U.P. Board of Technical Education in any branch of engineering/ technology except agriculture engineering with at least 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST category).
  • B.Sc. graduates: Passed 3/4 year B.Sc. degree from the any recognized University of India as defined by UGC with at least 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST category) and having passed 10+2 exam with Mathematics as a subject. The candidates belonging to the B.Sc. stream shall be considered only after filling the seats with the candidates belonging to the diploma stream.

BBA

The candidate should have passed 10 + 2 examination in any discipline, with at least 55% marks (50% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ ST category) and English must be one of the subjects at 10+2 level.

MBA

The candidate should have passed the recognized Bachelors’s degree of minimum three years duration from the any University of India as recognized by UGC with at least 50% marks (45% in cases of candidates belonging to SC/ ST category) in the qualifying examination.

MCA

The candidate should have passed the recognized Bachelors’s degree of minimum three years duration from the any University of India as defined by UGC with mathematics at 10+2 level and obtained minimum 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST category) in the qualifying examination.

M.Tech.

Candidates must have a first-class B.E/ B.Tech in a relevant discipline. The admission to M.Tech courses will be granted based on the joint merit of GATE and MET score. The weightage of GATE and MET score will be 40% and 60% respectively.

M.Sc.

  • M.Sc. Physics: The candidate should have passed the recognized Bachelor’sdegree in science stream of minimum three years duration from the any University of India as recognized by UGC. The candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with Physics as a subject for all three years and with mathematics as another subject for at least two years and obtained minimum 50%marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST category) in the qualifying examination.
  • M.Sc. Maths: The candidate should have passed the recognized Bachelor’s degree in science stream of a minimum three years duration from any University of India as recognized by UGC. The candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with Mathematics as a subject for all three years and obtained minimum 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST category) in the qualifying examination.
  • M.Sc. Chemistry: The candidate should have passed the recognized Bachelor’s degree in science stream of a minimum three years duration from any University of India as recognized by UGC. The candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with Chemistry as a subject for all three years and obtained minimum 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST category) in the qualifying examination.

Ph.D. Courses

Candidates who possess the Bachelor and master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Management or equivalent in the relevant discipline with 1stDivision in Master’s Degree are eligible for admission to Ph.D.Programme. The weightage of marks in the entrance test and interview will be in the ratio of 70% and 30%, respectively, for preparing the merit in a particular specialization.

MMMUT MET 2020 Exam Pattern

The MMMUT MET Entrance Exam will be done based on the courses so check the course wise exam pattern from here. Well, for the B.Tech courses the Exam will be 3 hrs for paper 1, and for paper 2 it is 1 Hr 30 Mins. And for other courses like MCA, M.Tech the Exam will be for 2hrs.
