PU CET PG 2020 Eligibility Criteria

  • Before applying for PU CET PG 2020 Exam, candidates have to read the following eligibility criteria.
  • Contenders who have passed in the 10+2 Exam of Mahila Gram Vidyapeeth, Allahabad are not in the eligibility criteria to appear in PU CET Entrance Test.
  • Applicants must have passed 10+2 Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or any equivalent exam conducted by a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • Candidates have to be an Indian citizen.
  • And also, Foreign citizens will have the option to apply via NRI quota.
  • Candidates can get a full list of recognized universities from the official website.
  • The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination for a particular course with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
  • Who are in their final year and appearing for the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply for PU CET 2020.
  • Reservation of seats for Scheduled Caste, Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Tribe, Persons with Disability (PWD), etc. category candidates will be according to the authority of Chandigarh Administration or Panjab University, Chandigarh guidelines.

For Physically Handicapped candidates

  • 1st preference – Candidates suffering from Locomotor disabilities of Lower Limbs between 50% – 70%.
  • Candidates with blindness (including color blindness) and those who are deaf and dumb will not be eligible to sit for PU CET.
  • 2nd preference -Suffering from Locomotor Disabilities of Lower Limbs between 40% – 50%.

  • One seat is reserved for a candidate from the States and Union Territories lacking facilities in this field and repatriates from Myanmar (Burma), Sri Lanka, etc.
  • For single girl children with no male siblings – 2 seats
  • One seat is reserved for the student suffering from diseases like Cancer, AIDS, Thalassemia.
  • Moreover, additional seats will create for children of officers who have served during the Kargil war.
  • Two seats are reserved for the students from the rural area category.
  • One seat is reserved for a student from the Border Area.
