Aikyashree Scholarship | WBMDFC Scholarship Status, Application Form (Open): The West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (WBMDFC) is the nodal agency responsible for implementing the Aikyashree Scholarship Scheme 2025. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to students from minority communities across West Bengal, helping them pursue education and improve their socio-economic status.

The application process will begin from 25th June 2025, and both Fresh and Renewal Applications can be submitted until 31st August 2025. The official link to apply will be activated once the authorities release the Aikyashree Scholarship Application Form. Fresh registration for Aikyashree Scholarship 2025–2026 is open; eligible minority students can apply online and receive the amount directly in their bank accounts after verification.

Aikyashree Scholarship – Overview

Objective – WBMDFC Scholarship

The main objective of the Aikyashree Scholarship Scheme is to promote education among minority communities in West Bengal. The Pre-matric Scholarship encourages school enrollment at an early stage, the Post-matric Scholarship helps students continue their higher education after Class 10, and the Merit-cum-Means Scholarship provides financial support for professional and technical courses to improve students’ employability and career growth. These scholarships aim to reduce dropout rates and increase educational opportunities for deserving students.

Types Of Scholarships

Below are the types of Scholarships that are provided under this Aikyashree Scholarship Scheme.

• Pre-matric Scholarship: For meritorious minority students from Class I to Class X.

• Post-matric Scholarship: For students from Class XI to Ph.D. level.

• Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: For students pursuing technical and professional courses.

Aikyashree Scholarship 2025–2026 – Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.

• Must belong to a recognized minority community (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, or Parsi).

• Should be enrolled in an approved institution within West Bengal.

• For Pre-matric Scholarship (Class I to X):

  • Family income should be Rs. 2 lakh or less per year.

• For Post-matric Scholarship (Class XI to Ph.D.):

  • Annual family income must not exceed Rs. 2 lakh.

• For Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (technical/professional courses):

  • Annual income should be Rs. 2.5 lakh or below.

  • Student must be pursuing a professional or technical course.

• Candidates must have scored 50% or above in their last final exam.

Aikyashree Scholarship Amount (Pre-Matric, Post-Matric & Merit-cum-Means)

The Aikyashree Scholarship Scheme offers financial aid to minority students in West Bengal across various education levels. Pre-Matric students (Class I to X) can receive up to Rs. 6,600 per year, while Post-Matric students (Class XI to Ph.D.) are eligible for up to Rs. 16,500 annually. For technical and professional courses, the Merit-cum-Means Scholarship provides up to Rs. 33,000 per year, helping students pursue higher education without financial barriers.

Selection Process

• Applications are submitted online through the official Aikyashree portal.

• Submitted applications are verified by the Nodal Teachers at the institution level.

• After institutional verification, they are forwarded to the District Level Authorities for further review.

• Eligible students are selected based on their academic performance, financial background, and fulfilment of eligibility criteria.

• Once selected, the scholarship amount is directly transferred to the student’s bank account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

How To Apply For Aikyashree Scholarship?

• Visit the official portal at wbmdfcscholarship.in
• Click on “Student Registration” and select Fresh Registration 2025–26 (or “Renewal” if you’re reapplying)
• Choose your district and scholarship category (Pre‑Matric, Post‑Matric, or Merit‑cum‑Means)
• Fill in your personal, academic, and Aadhaar‑linked bank details and upload the required documents
• Submit the form, lock your application, and note your application ID for tracking
• Take a printed copy, attach required documents like caste/income certificate and bank passbook page, sign it, and submit to your institution within 48 hours.
• You can also apply via Bangla Sahayata Kendra or cyber cafés if needed
