Bihar Post Matric Scholarship – Overview

Eligibility Criteria to Apply for Bihar Post Matric Scholarship

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of Bihar.
• The applicant’s caste should be included in the list of Backward Classes and Most Backward Classes and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes issued by the State Government.
• The student must have passed Class 10 (Matric) and should be currently studying in Class 11, 12, Diploma, ITI, Graduation, or Post-Graduation courses.
• The annual family income of the applicant must be less than ₹3 lakh.
• Under the post-entrance scholarship scheme, only the students studying in higher classes after passing the matriculation/ entrance examination can apply for the scholarship.
• After passing one level course, you will not be entitled to a scholarship for studying in another equivalent course, ie, IA after passing the ISC examination, B.Com after passing B.A. and M.A. after completing M.S. Scholarship will not be given for studying in class.
• In Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes, only 02 (two) sons of the parents of the applicant will be given a post-admission scholarship.
• This rule will not apply to daughters, but this rule will not apply to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
