The candidate must have a degree from any of the universities incorporated/ incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislatures in India or established by an Act of Parliament or deemed to be a university under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Must have a degree from an educational institution or its equivalent qualification.

According to paragraph 4 of Government General Administration Department’s circular number F-3-2/2002/1/3 dated 15.06.2010 and Chhattisgarh Police Executive (Gazetted) Service Recruitment and Promotion Rules 2005, the age limit for Deputy Superintendent of Police 21 to 28 years.
