CTET Eligibility Criteria 2025
CTET Eligibility Criteria 2025 For Paper-I (for teaching Classes 1 to 5):
- You must have passed 12th grade (or an equivalent exam) with at least 50% marks, and you must have completed or be in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- You must have passed 12th grade (or an equivalent exam) with at least 45% marks, and you must have completed or be in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- You must have passed 12th grade (or an equivalent exam) with at least 50% marks, and you must have completed or be in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Special Education.
- You must have completed graduation (any stream) with at least 50% marks and also completed a 2-year Diploma in Education.
CTET Paper II (for teaching Classes 6 to 8):
- You must have passed 12th grade (or an equivalent exam) with at least 50% marks, and you must have completed or be in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed course.
- You must have completed graduation with at least 50% marks and have completed or be in the final year of a 1-year B.Ed or B.Ed (Special Education) course.
- You must have completed graduation with at least 45% marks and have completed or be in the final year of a 1-year B.Ed course, as per NCTE rules and guidelines.
- Any candidate who has completed a B.Ed program recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear for the TET/CTET exam.
- A post-graduate candidate with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) and who has completed a 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. course.
CTET 2025 Age Limit
- For teaching Classes I-V (Primary Stage): You must be at least 18 years old, but there’s no maximum age limit.
- For teaching Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage): You must be at least 18 years old, and there’s also no maximum age limit.
This means there are no age restrictions for the CTET exam. You can apply at any age, and you can take the exam as many times as you want to improve your score.
