KTET Syllabus 2025

KTET Exam is an objective exam consisting of MCQ-type questions. There will be 150 questions for 150 marks. 2 hours and 30 minutes of time will be provided for the Kerala TET Exam and there is no negative marking for the KTET exam. KTET Selection Process 2025

First, the applied aspirants, need to attend the Written Exam, and then shortlisted aspirants will be proceeded to the final process of selection which is a Personal Interview. Kerala TET Exam Pattern 2025 – Category 1, 2, 3 & 4

In this section, we provided the category-wise Kerala Test Test Pattern 2025. So aspirants check this entire section.

• The Exam is of Objective type i.e. it consists of Multiple Choice Questions.
• The paper consists of 150 Questions.
• The exam is conducted for a total of 150 Marks.
• The total time duration Of the test is 150 Minutes that is  (2 ½ hrs)

Category 1 – Lower Primary Teacher (Class 1-5) Exam Pattern

• Category 1 contains the subjects of Child Development and Pedagogy (relevant to age group 6 – 11), Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Language I – Malayalam/ Tamil/ Kannada, and Language II – English/ Arabic.

Category 2 – Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6-8) Test Pattern

• The Upper Primary Teacher that is Category 2 consists of Child Development and Pedagogy (for the age group 11-14), Language I-Malayalam/ Tamil/ Kannada/ English,
  Language II – Malayalam/ English/ Hindi/ Arabic/ Urdu/ Sanskrit,  Science and Mathematics/ social science. Total Marks are 150 Marks.

Category 3 High School Teacher (8 to 10) Exam Pattern

• Category 3 consists of Adolescent Psychology, Theories of Learning and Teaching Aptitude, Language: Malayalam/ English/ Tamil/ Kannada, Subject-specific areas (Content & Pedagogy) subjects.

Category 4 (Languages (Up to Upper Primary Level), Specialist Teachers & Physical Education Teachers) Test Pattern

• Category 4 consists of Adolescent Psychology, Theories of Learning and Teaching Aptitude, Language: Malayalam/ English/ Tamil/ Kannada, Subject-specific areas (Content & Pedagogy) subjects.

Note: There is no negative marking for the KTET Exam.
