National Scholarship Portal | NSP Eligibility, Application Form: The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is a website where students can apply for scholarships given by different departments of the central government. It is a one-stop place to find all scholarship details and apply online easily. The Government of India, through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), has invited online applications for Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, and other various scholarship schemes for the academic session 2025–26. These scholarships fall under Central Sector and Centrally Sponsored Schemes. All eligible and interested male and female students can apply online at the official NSP portal: scholarships.gov.in. NSP National Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Under the NSP Scholarship Scheme, students can receive financial assistance ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹50,000 per year, based on their course of study. To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen

  • Institution: Enrolled in a recognized educational institution

  • Family Income: Annual family income should be less than ₹2.5 lakh

  • Academic Performance: Must have scored at least 50% marks in the last exam

Note: Students already receiving a state government scholarship are not eligible for this scheme.

How to Apply for NSP Scholarship 2025–26?

  • First, visit the official website of the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in.
  • Click on the ‘New Registration’ option and complete the registration by providing the required details.
  • After registration, log in using the application ID and password received.
  • Then, fill out the scholarship application form with correct information.
  • Upload all the required scanned documents as per the instructions.
  • Finally, review the entire form carefully and click the ‘Submit’ button to complete your application.
