GOKDOM Scholarship 2020 @ gokdom.kar.nic.in – Eligibility, Rewards, Application Form: The Directorate of the Minorities under Government of Karnataka is known to be the GOKDOM which mainly focuses on the issues that are notified by the Minorities such as Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Parsis, Jains and the Buddhist in the state of Karnataka. As it is located in Bengaluru, the directorate acts as the nodal agency for all the schemes, including Scholarships. This GOKDOM Scholarship is being run by the state and the Central Government for the welfare of the Minorities.

Key Function

The key function that the directorate serves for the minority communities in Karnataka includes:

  • Introduction of the scheme to accelerate their socio-economic development.
  • Implementation of schemes especially for children and women.
  • Providing them with suitable training and employment opportunities to allow them to tackle the problems related to economic backwardness.
  • Introduction of educational schemes for the students.
  • The motto under providing the GOKDOM Scholarship 2020 is to encourage the Minority community people by providing the scholarship under GOKDOM Scholarship 2020 and also to provide quality education.

GOKDOM Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2020

The Minority Community candidates can apply for the GOKDOM scholarship 2020. The brief details can be given in the below table.



For Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minorities of Karnataka

  • The candidate must belong to class 1st to 10th standard.
  •  The applicant must have above 50% in the previous examinations.
  •  The family income of the student should not be more than Rs.1 lakh per annum.
  •  The applicant must be the native of Karnataka.
  •  The student who is the domicile of Karnataka but studying at other states can apply for the scholarship.

Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities of Karnataka

  •  Applicants must belong to class 11th to Ph.D. level can apply.
  •  The candidate must score above 50% in the previous examinations.
  •  The family income of the student should not more than Rs.2 lakhs per annum.
  •  A student pursuing studies through correspondence or certificate/ training level courses cannot apply.
  •  The students belonging to other states who are studying in Karnataka cannot apply.

 Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship for Minorities, Karnataka

  •  The student must be pursuing graduation or post-graduation in a professional/ technical stream.
  •  The marks obtained by the candidate must be above 50% in previous examinations.

National Overseas Scholarship for Minority Community Students, Karnataka

  •  The applicant’s age should not be more than 38 years from the commencement of course.
  •  The marks obtained by the candidate in the previous examination must be 60%.
  •  The scholarship is applicable for the selective courses only.

The incentive for SSLC & 2nd PUC students, Karnataka

  •  The candidate must have 85% or above in class 10th or 12th.

M.Phil and Ph.D. Fellowship for Minority Students, Karnataka

  •  The age of the applicant should not be more than 35 years.
  •  The family income of the student should be less than Rs.6 lakh.
  •  Government employees or full-time employees are not eligible to apply.
